Queensday is coming,this is a big event in the Netherlands. We celebrate the queen’s birthday, actually it’s the birthday of the mother of the queen. We have a dress code: crazy/nice and ORANGE/RED-WHITE-BLUE or you can combine the colours.

Of course you have to keep in mind that its really busy, because everyone is going outside to celebrate this event! There is a different time schedule for the trains on that day and allot of delays! (every year) Take this into account, good site that will help you is www.ns.nl.

Dear Students!!

ESN would like to take you on an amazing city trip to LEIDEN! This is a beautiful city with allot of culture and a great history. We start at the central station (Leiden Centraal) at 14:00, we will leave then so make sure you are on time! The first stop will be the museum Volkenkunde, they have at the moment Terracotta Warriors from China in Leiden, a small exhibition presenting contemporary Indian jewellery and many more exhibitions. Hii Adventures!

ESN would like to take you on a climbing track. This adventure park is located at the Veerplas, Haarlem. We will be climbing from 14.00 till 17.00 hours on 11th of May 2012 and the price will be €12,-.

Bring a pair of good shoes (girls, no high heels!). Be prepared for bad weather (it’s the Netherlands).

ESN wants to take you to a place where you can enjoy great parties on the beach! For the first time ESN wants to join you, so that you know where to go.

On Saturday April 21st at 9.30 am, the 65th annual Bulbflower Parade will depart from Noordwijk to travel its 40 km journey along the main roads to Haarlem, where it will arrive at about 21.00h.

The theme of this year's parade is Communication. The procession will depart from the promenade in Noordwijk at 09.30h and will arrive in the beautifully illuminated centre of Haarlem at about 21.00h.

20 large floats and more than 30 motorcars all beautifully decorated with flowers. The festive atmosphere will be further enhanced by music played by many brassbands marching with the parade.

This is the 32 edition of “Bevrijdingsfesival in Haarlem” (Liberation Day) this is celebrated each year on May 5th, to mark the end of the occupation by Germany during World War II. Also this year it is celebrated in Haarlemmerhout, Haarlem. The Vlooienveld, Frederikspark and Florapark will be changed on the beginning of May to a lively festival. The festival start at 12.00 and will end at 24.00.

American Sunday is opened from 10.00 till 17.30, 22nd of April 2012 at Circuit park Zandvoort.

Enjoy the beautiful old American cars and bikes! Also this year the Meguiar’s Show & Shine Contest will be there. By a special jury the cars will be checked on different aspects.

Pk’s, tires and reaction. And not to forget: muscle cars and adrenaline! These are the ingredions of the Gooze Garage Drag race Showdown. Of course we all know the Drag races from television, but on American Sunday you can be there in real life. Try to get a seat on the grandstand and see the action!
